Netflix Introduces ID-V2V: Identity-Preserving Video Restylization
_akhaliq · x · 2026-07-31
Netflix has introduced ID-V2V, a research exploration in human-centric video editing set to appear at SIGGRAPH Asia 2026.
The technology enables a powerful creative workflow where creators can redesign the environment, lighting, and visual style of an existing video after capture. Given a source video and edited keyframes, ID-V2V propagates those edits across the entire video while perfectly preserving the original human identity, subtle facial expressions, full-body motion, and multi-person interactions. This offers immense creative freedom in post-production.
