Luma Agents Launches Layers: Extract and Swap Image Elements Precisely
mrjonfinger · x · 2026-07-30
Luma Labs announced that its agent tool, Layers, is now live, powered by the Uni-1 model.
The feature allows users to extract layers from any generated or uploaded image. Once extracted, users can chat with the agent to make localized edits—such as swapping the product, restyling the background, or rewriting the headline—without regenerating the entire image or altering other elements.
A showcased demo illustrated how adding just one layer (a weapon) into a room completely changed the vibe while preserving the original lighting and layout.
