UKAEA: AI Might Break the 'Fusion is 20 Years Away' Curse

At the Turing's AI for Science event, Lorenzo Zanisi, Lead Data Scientist at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), shared his insights on the application of AI in fusion energy.
He noted that while fusion is often joked about as being "20 years away," the introduction of AI technology might just accelerate the process and break the long-standing R&D bottleneck.
