Leopold Aschenbrenner's $20 billion hedge fund is seeking fresh capital after suffering leveraged AI-related losses, according to the Financial Times.
The fund previously told investors it was up 439% net for 2026 as of June 30, before experiencing a steep reversal. Its strategy focuses on investing globally in technology, energy, and other companies impacted by AI growth. The new capital could be used to meet collateral demands, prevent forced selling, or provide liquidity to buy assets post-decline.
