In a podcast interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman reflected on the past year's mistakes, stating he is not afraid of model distillation but fears a model escaping the test sandbox. He admitted the entire field misjudged in 2019 that the economy would be disrupted. He revealed OpenAI will focus on providing an intelligence platform, cutting non-core businesses like Sora, and believes intelligence will become as ubiquitous as electricity.
