Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, offered counter-intuitive advice for optimizing agentic workflows:
- Clean Context Regularly: For users leveraging Claude Code without building agentic products, it is recommended to delete your claude.md file, skills, and hooks every 6 months.
- Trust Model Evolution: With newer models like Opus 5, extensive instructions may no longer be necessary. Stripping away these manual configurations allows the model to surprise you with its native capabilities.
