OpenAI Grants 100K Researchers Free Access to Frontier Models for Science

OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT for Academic Researchers, a program designed to accelerate scientific discovery using frontier AI models.
The initiative will initially provide free access to 10,000 scientists, mathematicians, and engineers, with plans to expand to 100,000 users by 2027. CEO Sam Altman emphasized that empowering scientists is the most effective way to drive AI-accelerated scientific breakthroughs.
