Andreessen Horowitz partner Andrew Chen notes that last year's startup trend was 'Copilot for X', and this year it's 'Agent for X'. He believes this reflects that people don't simply want AI products with humans in the loop; they want agents to take action and generate outcomes. He shares that with his openclaw/hermes usage, the most annoying thing is that skills just generate more things to review; what he wants now is actions and outcomes, not more copilots.
