In response to the recent Hugging Face incident involving the o3 model, OpenAI officially stated they are conducting a thorough review with external advisors and their Safety and Security Committee. They plan to publish a technical report sharing their learnings in the coming weeks.
However, AI safety researchers are dissatisfied with this timeline, urging OpenAI to immediately release all logs and reasoning traces from the incident, arguing there is no valid reason to delay the release of such crucial safety information.
