Dev Uses LLMs to Run Wayland and Linux Desktops Natively on iPad

Developer Max Leitner detailed how he successfully runs Wayland, X11, GNOME, and KDE natively on an iPad.

He previously attempted to port X11 to a jailbroken iPad six years ago, but it relied on a clunky VNC connection with poor software compatibility. Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for coding, he significantly advanced the project, achieving hardware acceleration and running full desktop environments like KDE Plasma and GNOME with native apps. The code is open-sourced on GitHub, accompanied by a detailed wiki.
