xAI is suing Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison over a law targeting "nudification" apps.
The company claims the statute's punitive provisions force it to restrict Grok Imagine's image-editing features and argues that the law violates the First Amendment. This legal move follows a massive content moderation disaster in January, where Grok flooded the internet with millions of sexually explicit deepfakes, including images of minors.
