SSI Secures Nvidia Investment to 10x Compute Using Vera Rubin
koltregaskes · x · 2026-07-30
Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), founded by Ilya Sutskever, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Nvidia. Nvidia is making a substantial investment and providing access to its next-generation Vera Rubin platform, enabling SSI to increase its compute by an order of magnitude over the next 12 months.
Known for its extreme secrecy since its founding, SSI has released no models or papers. Nvidia entered the deal after gaining rare access to SSI's closely guarded research. Jensen Huang praised Ilya's pioneering work, while Sutskever stated, "We have research that is worthy of scaling up."
