Perplexity Open-Sources Numbat: A Cross-Framework Agent Detection and Response Layer

Perplexity has announced the open-sourcing of Numbat, a security detection and response layer designed specifically for AI agents.
Numbat operates across various agent harnesses, providing security teams with visibility into agent activities. It enables teams to monitor and block selected actions before they are executed, enhancing the safety of agentic workflows. The project has been contributed to the Open Secure AI Alliance, which includes participation from NVIDIA.
