Waymo Resumes Freeway Rides After Suspension; Polymarket Favors Tampa Expansion
Polymarket · x · 2026-07-30
Waymo has resumed its freeway driving services after a two-month suspension. The halt was prompted by incidents where robotaxis drove into closed construction lanes at speeds up to 60 mph.
Meanwhile, prediction market Polymarket is offering odds on which cities Waymo will launch in by the end of 2026. The market currently favors Tampa (93.9%) and Las Vegas (81%), while cities like Pittsburgh (51%) and Sacramento (36%) have lower probabilities.
