Pixel Art Lab: Open-Source Tool for LLMs to Iteratively Draw Pixel Art via MCP
nitechno · reddit · 2026-07-30
Inspired by recent projects, a developer open-sourced Pixel Art Lab. Unlike one-shot generation tools, this local project uses an MCP server to connect with Aseprite, allowing LLMs to render a preview after drawing and visually inspect the image to fix errors iteratively.
It supports any tool-calling model on OpenRouter, not just Claude. The author also shared a comparison of four Claude models responding to the same prompts and credited the essential pixel-mcp project for enabling Aseprite interaction.
