As Models Eat the Harness, Automation Forces Companies to Scale Ambition

The author proposes a theory of three concentric rings for AI development: the model, the harness, and the company itself (or its workflows). All three are growing rapidly, and your thesis on the AI space ultimately depends on your belief in the relative velocities of these rings.
He further deduces the dynamic impacts of this evolution:
- As models improve, they absorb capabilities that previously belonged to the harness.
- As the harness gets better, it automates and takes over what used to be full company workflows.
- Once company workflows are heavily automated, the company must scale its ambitions, lest the entire company devolve into just another workflow.
