Raygun 1 Published in Nature: Redesigning Proteins Like Evolution Does

Raygun 1, a new model for redesigning proteins the way evolution does, has been officially published in Nature today.
For an arbitrary protein, Raygun 1 can:
- Miniaturize: e.g., shortening eGFP to be shorter than any known natural fluorescent protein.
- Magnify: e.g., turning EGF into a tighter EGFR binder.
- Modify: performing dozens of edits simultaneously, including insertions, deletions, and substitutions.
