OpenAI Launches ChatGPT for Academic Researchers, Aiming for 100k Users

OpenAI has launched a ChatGPT program for academic researchers, providing scientists, mathematicians, and engineers with free access to its frontier models.
The program will initially start with 10,000 researchers and is scheduled to expand to 100,000 users by 2027.
