Dev Uses Gemini 1 Pro to Revive Abandoned Software: Builds Local License Server

A developer shared a case of using LLMs to solve a legacy software issue. A CNC software became unusable for paying customers after the original creator passed away and the licensing server shut down. The developer fed the project to Gemini, which successfully wrote a local license server and rerouted the software's validation calls, restoring functionality. The dev is now considering hosting the server for other affected users.
