Fish Audio announced a $52 million Seed funding round alongside the public launch of S2.1 Pro, its latest voice cloning model.
The model emphasizes expressiveness and cost-efficiency: it can clone a voice from just 5 seconds of audio, operates 2x faster than Cartesia, and costs 1/6th the price of ElevenLabs. It also offers word-level control over emotion and pacing. Notably, Fish Audio provides open-weight models for local deployment, directly challenging closed-source competitors.
