New KSI Mechanism Externalizes Knowledge to Boost Agent Self-Improvement

Yang Song and other researchers shared a new approach to agent self-improvement: Knowledge-centric Self-Improvement (KSI).
The study proposes a thought experiment: instead of cramming intelligence into agents, externalize it into a shared knowledge base. Experiments show that this remarkably simple knowledge curation mechanism pushes the Pareto frontier of self-improvement agents, outperforming state-of-the-art agent-centric approaches (like harness or prompt optimization) across reasoning, coding, and terminal benchmarks at a fraction of the cost.
