A robot can be fast on average but still drift when the scene changes between planning steps. The system must decide whether to finish an imagined action or replan from reality, and this recovery path matters more than raw sampler throughput.
Using LingBot-VA 2.0 as an example, its design pairs foresight reasoning with regrounding to achieve a 4x end-to-end speedup. However, the author argues that validating control performance requires examining tail latency, prediction horizons, and regrounding frequency.
