Fei-Fei Li's World Labs Acquires SceniX, Unveils R2S2R Engine for Robot Training
theomitsa · x · 2026-07-30
World Labs, founded by Dr. Fei-Fei Li, announced the acquisition of SceniX, a robotics and simulation company, to deepen its technological development in spatial intelligence.
SceniX has developed a Real-to-Sim-to-Real (R2S2R) engine that transforms real physical tasks into high-fidelity 3D simulations. This data-driven framework allows robots to learn and evaluate complex manipulations in virtual environments before deploying to the real world.
This approach aims to bridge the gap between lab demos and reliable real-world operation, significantly reducing the costly manual effort and physical hardware failures traditionally required for extensive data collection and testing.
