Sonder Editor brings an open-source video timeline to ComfyUI
SonderSaid · reddit · 2026-07-29
Sonder Editor is a free, open-source timeline video editor that runs as a single ComfyUI node. It lets users place clips, images, audio, guide frames, and prompts on a multi-lane timeline, then send selected ranges into their own downstream workflows.
Key features include:
- Prompt relay: split prompts across timeline segments so one clip can carry multiple beats.
- Guides: place reference frames at arbitrary points, including first/last/any frame.
- IC-LoRA motion transfer: drive generation frame-by-frame from an OpenPose clip.
- Project management: per-project assets, galleries, favorites, trash/restore, metadata.
- Editing tools: takes, render queue, trimming/splitting, snapping, compositing, lane lock/hide, and export of long timelines.
The author says Sonder does not generate media itself; it orchestrates whatever model/workflow you wire underneath, and version 0.1.1 is released as an early open-source tool.
