Riley Ralmuto clarifies that a previously discussed session was not Claude Code, but a planning and ideation session in Claude Chat.
He says nothing was lost: the work was recoverable, and Claude appears to have a kind of pseudo-cross-session persistence based on on-demand recall. It is not true continuity, but data from earlier sessions can still surface later.
The post also jokes about “skill issue” replies, and frames the whole thing as a surprisingly messy but harmless experience rather than a real data loss.
