Altman: AGI Isn't One Model, But the Machinery Behind Them

In an interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman offered a fresh perspective on the path to AGI. He suggested that AGI might not fundamentally be a single massive model, but rather 'the machinery behind them.' Altman emphasized that with each generation, the team is figuring out new science, and it is working amazingly well. For what feels like real AGI to him, he believes we are 'very close' and that it won't be much longer.
