FCC adds foreign humanoids, quadrupeds and power inverters to its Covered List

The FCC has added two new device categories to its Covered List, blocking new imports and sales in the U.S. for:
- advanced robotic devices such as humanoids and quadrupeds made in foreign countries
- foreign-made power inverters
The agency says the move follows national-security determinations by executive-branch agencies.
- Exemptions are available when the Department of War or DHS determines a device poses no unacceptable threat.
- The post also reflects concern about rebuilding domestic industrial capacity across machine tools, components, fabrication, logistics, and robotics supply chains.
