Mixedbread released mxbai-rerank-v3.1-listwise, an upgraded listwise reranker.
- The company says it matches GPT-5.6-sol (high) ranking quality at 61× the speed.
- It is also up to 54% faster than v3 on long documents.
- The release is tuned for recency-aware ranking, source-priority resolution, and multi-step composite instructions.
