Pangram unveils Pangram 4 and Pangram Image for text and image AI detection

What changed
Pangram announced two new models: Pangram 4 and Pangram Image.
- Pangram 4 adds a token-wise head on top of the classifier so each token gets a prediction in the full-document context, aimed at mixed-authorship detection.
- The team also published a 38-page technical report covering experiments, methodology, and evaluations.
- Pangram Image extends the detector to AI-generated images and videos. The author says early testing worked surprisingly well, including odd edge cases like real photos of AI-generated bodega menus.
The release is positioned as a major step forward in AI detection technology.
