Tencent Open-Sources AngelSpec: A Unified Framework for Training Speculative Decoding Drafters
aigclink · x · 2026-07-29
Tencent has open-sourced AngelSpec, a PyTorch-native framework for training speculative decoding draft models, supporting both autoregressive MTP drafting and the block-parallel DFlash family.
Speculative decoding is a key trend for LLM inference cost reduction this year, but the industry has lacked a standardized drafter training pipeline, often keeping it as private know-how. This framework industrializes the training process by integrating multiple mainstream algorithms like DFly, DFlash, and Eagle3, bridging the gap between academic papers and production deployment.
