Qualcomm completes Modular acquisition to unify AI software across chips and clouds

Qualcomm says it has completed its acquisition of Modular, bringing the AI-native software platform and its Mojo, MAX and Modular Cloud products under Qualcomm while keeping the open heterogeneous ecosystem mission in place.
The company says the deal will help it deliver AI across devices, data centers, edge infrastructure and industrial systems. Modular CEO Chris Lattner is taking a new role as EVP of Advanced AI Software and Platforms.
