Claude plugs into Google Tag Manager to automate GA4 tags and audits

Claude now connects to Google Tag Manager via an MCP connector and can automate much of the tagging workflow.
- It can generate GA4 event tags from plain English requests, set up triggers for clicks/page views/scroll depth/custom events, and define variables, data-layer values, cookies, and DOM elements.
- It can also audit containers for dead tags, duplicates, and misfires, and explain what is firing where.
- The workflow stays in a workspace-first mode: nothing goes live until review and publish, and deletions need confirmation.
- Setup is done by adding the server in Claude settings and authorizing with Google OAuth.
