Anthropic Hints at Achieving Recursive Self-Improvement, Calls for Pacing Frontier

The official Anthropic account recently stated that their research on recursive self-improvement (RSI), published last month, points to the need for tools to deliberately pace the frontier of AI development so society can prepare.
A tech blogger highlighted that this is the closest thing to a confirmation that Anthropic (and likely OpenAI) have achieved RSI with their most advanced internal models.
