FCC adds foreign-made humanoids, quadrupeds and power inverters to its Covered List

The FCC has added two new device categories to its Covered List, blocking new imports or sales in the U.S.: advanced robotic devices, including humanoids and quadrupeds made overseas, and foreign-made power inverters.
The move follows national-security determinations by executive-branch agencies. It includes exemptions for devices that DOW or DHS finds pose no unacceptable threat, but it could still create short-term pain for robotics startups that rely on Chinese hardware.
