Anthropic’s implied pre-IPO valuation reportedly fell 13.1% after Kimi K3

Following the release of Kimi K3 on July 16, Anthropic’s implied pre-IPO valuation is estimated to have fallen by about 13.1%, or $126.42 billion, from its last confirmed level and by roughly $531.20 billion from its peak estimate of $1,369.78 billion.
The post argues that rising open-weight competition could squeeze Anthropic’s position before any IPO, and suggests Dario Amodei may want Trump-era regulation to slow that competition.
