Pilot Protocol raises $4.5M to build a P2P network OS for agents

vista8 · x · 2026-07-29

Pilot Protocol is positioning itself as a network OS for agents: a UDP-based P2P overlay with built-in NAT traversal, no VPN or public IP required, and encrypted direct connections between agents without a central server.

The company also says it has built an Agent App Store and built-in payments using the open x402 standard and USDC. The post says Pilot has raised a $4.5 million seed round and claims live network throughput of tens of thousands of requests per second, around 219,000 agents online, and an IETF Internet-Draft standardization effort.
