OpenWorker passes 10k GitHub stars with Slack, Gmail and Notion automation
vista8 · x · 2026-07-29
OpenWorker is an open-source desktop AI coworker from Andrew Ng’s orbit that is already drawing strong interest, with the repo crossing 10k stars in about a week.
It is designed to finish everyday work across tools like Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Notion, HubSpot, and GitHub. The project is model-agnostic: it can connect to OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, or even local Ollama models. It also supports triggers so tasks can start running automatically in the background. The current release is Mac-only, with Windows said to be coming soon.
