Fireworks AI backs open weights as a way to spread intelligence
Fireworks AI President George Hu said the company signed the open letter supporting open weights because intelligence should not be controlled by only a few frontier labs.
He argued that open models let every company around the world own and compound intelligence inside their own workflows, and that broader access is better for society overall.
