The US FCC has added advanced robotic devices (such as foreign-produced humanoids and quadrupeds) and power inverters to its Covered List, banning their import or sale in America due to national security risks.
In response, Auki's founder urged Physical AI companies and robotics researchers in the US to leave immediately, offering space and resources in Hong Kong. He also anticipates retaliatory tariffs and bans from China.
