Hermes Agent speeds up voice chats by streaming TTS after the first clause
Teknium · x · 2026-07-29
Hermes Agent has made voice chats noticeably faster by switching to streaming TTS.
According to the post, most API-provided TTS backends now stream speech, which reduces the wait time before playback starts and makes interactions feel much closer to real time.
The update is specifically about voice-agent UX: generate the first clause, begin speaking sooner, and keep the rest of the response streaming in the background.
