A statement titled 'Pacing the Frontier' has been signed by over 1,122 employees from frontier AI companies including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. The statement notes that people building frontier AI believe they are on the cusp of Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI), which deserves much more attention from policymakers than it currently receives.
