OpenAI says it has reset usage limits for ChatGPT Work and Codex users while investigating GPT-5.6 Sol’s unexpectedly fast quota consumption.
The company says it did not reduce usage on any subscription plan, but after making several fixes it expects typical Sol usage to last about 18% longer. Some users should already see bigger improvements, and the temporary five-hour limit that was paused during the investigation will be restored tomorrow.
