Baidu says Apollo Go has started robotaxi road testing in London, using its sixth-generation RT6 vehicles with safety operators on board.
- The London test is being run with both Uber and Freenow by Lyft.
- Public rides are not expected until 2027, pending regulatory approval.
- The move follows Apollo Go’s first fully driverless trial in a right-hand-drive market in Hong Kong days earlier.
- Baidu’s separate deals with Uber and Lyft aim to expand Apollo Go vehicles across Europe and other global markets.
