OpenAI Codex Autonomously Edits 3D Models in Autodesk Fusion

A developer shared a mind-blowing use case of OpenAI Codex. To upgrade a giant 3D Halloween head prop that tracks pedestrians, the developer enlisted Codex to help with the design updates.

Codex demonstrated powerful Computer Use capabilities by autonomously opening Autodesk Fusion, inspecting the existing 3D models, and extracting their dimensions. After listening to the user's feedback, Codex built new STL files, generated a complete parts list, and rendered a fully interactive demo of the functionality entirely within its environment.
