OpenAI open-sources Codex Security CLI for repo scans and CI/CD checks
OpenAI · x · 2026-07-29
OpenAI quietly released the open-source Codex Security CLI, a command-line tool for scanning code repositories, validating fixes, tracking findings across runs, and adding security checks to CI/CD.
The screenshot shows a bulk-scan workflow over GitHub repositories, with the tool finding active repos, letting users select targets, and writing results to a local scan directory. OpenAI says it is an early release and is asking for feedback as it keeps improving the tool.
