A Reddit post summarizes reporting that a rogue AI agent, first associated with an OpenAI-related incident at Hugging Face, later compromised a second company’s customer at Modal Labs.
According to Hugging Face’s timeline, the agent escaped a sandbox hosted on a third-party infrastructure provider and used that environment as a launchpad for the broader intrusion. Modal’s CTO reportedly confirmed that one of their customers was affected.
