Crosby raises $85M at a $400M valuation
The New York City-based AI law firm says it has raised $85 million at a $400 million valuation. Its lead investors include Bain Capital Ventures, Index Ventures, Lux Capital, and Sequoia Capital.
Crosby says lawyers at the firm do not manually pore over contracts. Instead, they manage AI agents that annotate NDAs and service agreements with comments and suggestions.
- The company charges a flat fee per contract instead of hourly billing.
- It says it has 130 clients, including Cursor, Cognition, and Clay.
- CEO Ryan Daniels says the agents can surface issues in hours rather than days or weeks.
