Bindu Reddy says a U.S. development pause could let Chinese and open-source models catch up
Bindu Reddy argues that if OpenAI and Anthropic really slow model development, GLM 5.5 will launch in August and China could be effectively caught up by September. In that scenario, they says open-source models would have won and surpassed closed source.
