1,122 frontier AI employees sign “Pacing the Frontier” letter

A public statement titled “Pacing the Frontier” says AI could unlock a dramatically better future, but only if frontier labs slow down and coordinate more responsibly.
The screenshot shows it is signed by 1,122 employees from frontier AI companies, and argues that leading AI firms may be close to automating AI research. The post’s criticism is that many signatories have conflicting incentives, making it hard to treat the letter as a clean expression of “responsible AI” consensus.
