Fly.io says it is going all-in on “computers for agents,” arguing that future software will be built and shipped by agents that need persistent, networked machines rather than isolated sandboxes.
The company says it already has 8,000 customers building agent products on Fly. It is also adding $25M in fresh funding and appointing Scott Johnston as the new CEO, while Kurt moves into an advisory role. Fly says more technical details are coming, including two upcoming platform leaps.
